We've been with Master Kim's for a month and my son started quiet and timid in class. Each week he is excited to go and loves class! He's learning to use his voice and have confidence in his abilities. Highly recommend!
The best master that we could possibly have for our kid. He is patient, kind, and teaches the kids with all his heart. We could not say enough how happy we are since our kid joined. The staffs is super sweet and will make sure your kid never feel out of place. Highly recommended!! This will be a great sport to teach your kid independent and determination.
We have two sons and have been coming here for years. Our family has done regular membership, aftercare, and summer camp. Master Kim is the best! He makes things extra fun for the kids and keeps them interested and invested, gives them a positive outlet for their extra energy, and instills discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. Plus the classes are super entertaining for parents to watch too.
We joined Master Kim's afterschool program over a year ago due to school staff shortages in being able to provide afterschool coverage for our child. Let me just tell you that this was the best thing that could have happened to us. Not only does Master Kim pick our child up from school every day, but the change in our son's self-confidence and social skills has been amazing to watch. We even did the full day summer camp this summer and our son asked if he can just go to camp all year long! You won't regret signing your kids up for any of Master Kim's programs. I highly recommend that you do!
My grandson Xavier and I are both white belts, but have had a wonderful experience so far! Xavier is so focused and working hard to learn and understand. I am feeling it, but getting much needed exercise at the same time. I can't wait to see what is already beginning with my usually hard to handle grandson. Next, my 10 y.o. granddaughter and my other (4 y.o.) grandson. I can't wait to see how Master Kim and the other instructors positively affect my kids' lives.
My son had a rough initial experience with a very different martial arts place. Coming to Master Kim instead has made such an amazing difference for him! I will never go back! On day 1, Master Kim showed my son just how much fun martial arts could be and how important it is to work hard. If he struggled, Master Kim immediately assisted to help h get it right. He has the perfect amount of humor and fun and seriousness that is needed when working with young children to help build confidence and skill. When my son walked in on day 2, he was greeted by name and recognized for his improvement. A massive difference from the other place we started at. If you are considering starting martial arts for your child, I HIGHLY recommend coming in to check out Master Kim's dojo. Everyone on the staff is phenomenal and I can't wait to see what my oldest learns or for his brother to get started as well. A huge thank you to the entire staff!
As professional educators, my wife and I both are impressed with Master Kim and his genuine love of kids. It’s apparent that he loves what he does and is engaging in his lessons. He garners the respect of students while keeping things fun. Both of our kids love going and we love the confidence, respect, and leadership he instills in them!
Highly recommend. If you are looking for more than just a martial arts studio I recommend them even more. The instructors work amazingly well with kids, they help students practice those soft skills that kids and teens are developing (teamwork, persistence, self-esteem, focus, self-control ect.) and they truly care about their students. Master Kim is the absolute best. Do not hesitate, this is the place you are looking for. Clean, fun, and just great with the kids! My daughter has been coming for almost a year now and is always excited to attend class 3x a week. We also signed up for summer camp this year because we love Master Kim so much! Try it and you will be convinced that the hype is warranted.
Master Kim is incredible with kids of all ages. I’ve never seen such a great program for young kids. Master Kim is the perfect blend of discipline and humor. He’s a master at all things Taekwondo. My son has really enjoyed learning martial arts including numb chuck skills! Great viewing area for the parents and easy, convenient half hour class times.
